De La Tierra is a charming family restaurant nestled in Lagunillas, Mexico, celebrated for its open-air ambiance that seamlessly integrates with nature. This pet-friendly haven boasts an organic garden, offering a unique culinary experience highlighted by local produce. Patrons like 'AM AR' rave about the friendly staff and the delectable native omelet, setting the tone for a welcoming environment suitable for both family outings and romantic dates. The restaurant’s ambiance is further enhanced by its surroundings, as described by 'Javier Rascado,' who emphasizes the delightful escape it provides from the city hustle while maintaining top-notch service.
Menu favorites include the renowned chilaquiles de chile morita, praised by 'Teresa Mendoza,' along with delicious pizzas and desserts that utilize regional ingredients. 'Belem Godinez' appreciates the fair pricing, especially given the quality of food served during weekends. Nonetheless, minor drawbacks, such as limited bathroom facilities and occasional mosquito presence, are acknowledged but do not overshadow the restaurant's charm. Enthusiasts like 'Saket Pundlik' recommend it as a must-visit spot on the route to Huimilpan, highlighting the overall excellent food and extraordinary experience that De La Tierra provides.

A very nice, open-air, pet-friendly, and organic place with its own garden. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious. I recommend the native omelet. The atmosphere is very family-friendly, but it also works well for a romantic date. The only downside was the mosquitoes (which, since the space is open, is to be expected). Bring your repellent I'll definitely come back

An extraordinary place. The location is excellent, and although it's close to the city, it makes you feel like you're on the outskirts. The staff was unbeatable, and the food was excellent. Highly recommended!

Excellent place for an afternoon with friends and family. Delicious pizza, desserts, and drinks featuring local produce. Fair price for the location, only open on weekends. The only downside is that there are only two bathrooms, and they're shared.

Cute place for a good Sunday adventure, my favorite food here is the chilaquiles de chile morita. They make they vegan friendly. Also pet friendly!

Great place to visit on the way to Huimilpan. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. The ambiance is special, given the seating is open to the elements and among trees and nature. For the food, the pizzas and choripan were the standouts. I recommend checking this place on the way to Huimilpan or back. My only critique is the entrance is not easy to spot, and unless there's someone standing outside with a sign it is easy to miss the place.

Nov 2024- I couldn't get in... there was a quagmire and a stuck car. We had to turn back, because the passage was dangerous and wait on the road longer because the others honked at us. April 25- we returned and were able to meet . The access is now paved and the descent to the restaurant is very good, it can improve, it has potential The parking lot is very large, it is going down to the right and at the back. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and it's an incredible place. Very pretty and lots of beautiful vegetation. There is a play area (two tumbling) covered with mesh. It is pet friendly. Highly recommended for breakfast or lunch and having a very pleasant time.

Excellent experience! We went to celebrate my mom's birthday, the food was very delicious, value for money 10/10! I would recommend it to go on a date or with family. They gave us a complimentary dessert for the birthday girl and the waiter service was excellent, very attentive at all times.
